Kevin Durant Talks About Dwyane Wade In A Radio Interview

This is only opinion. I respect D-Wade.” “What did you think of Wade’s Instagram photo with some handwriting on it,” Mannix asked Durant as a follow up question. “The handwritten note was immaculate,” Durant said. “I really did not think so much about it, it is what it is. I respect him,” Durant continued. “There is no disrespect to D-Wade and his team. What I said in the Cinesport interview is how I felt at that time, and I am going to stand behind what I said.” A fan might be feeling what Durant might be going through right and tweeted the basketball star.

Originally called the “Mint Speckle” when it was first leaked online, the colorway is actually the continuation of the “Texas” theme that Durant has had throughout this entire signature line. Although Durant only spent one season in college as a member of the Texas Longhorns , the time he spent there was enough to impact his life forever. The hospitable nature that the state has come to be known for fits right into Durant’s nature, not to mention their penchant for being a little wacky, especially in the city of Austin. The Nike KD 6 “Texas” plays into that “keeping Austin weird” nature by going out of the typical orange and white or silver color scheme we have seen with previous releases, opting to go with a black and burnt orange upper but with green glow speckles that are supposed to represent a typical starry Texas night. The Nike KD 6 “Texas” will be available at retail locations and at Nike.com on October 10 for $130.00 a pair. Also available on the same day will be a matching KD backpack and KD Hyper Elite Crew socks.

25 Incredible Kevin Durant Highlights for OKC Thunder Star’s 25th Birthday

Westbrook, as a reminder, is the same player who never missed a game in high school, college, or first four-plus seasons in the NBA. Sam Amick (@sam_amick) October 1, 2013 As we saw last seasons playoffs , as great as he is, Kevin Durant cannot do everything by himself. These young players will have to step up this season. Thunder already down 3rd scorer w/ departure of Kevin Martin, relying heavily on Jeremy Lamb at SG. Now Reggie Jackson in spotlight at PG. Sam Amick (@sam_amick) October 1, 2013 Reggie Jackson Reggie Jackson stepped into a starting role last season when Russell Westbrook tore his meniscus early in the playoffs . During the playoffs, Jackson averaged 13.9 points per game , a big jump from his 5.3 points per game during the regular season. The former Boston College point guard is not the scorer Westbrook is by any means, but Jackson definitely has the ability to score. This summer Jackson set an Orlando Pro Summer League record with 35 points in a game versus Detroit . OKC could use some of that during Westbrooks recovery. Jeremy Lamb Shane Bevel/Getty Images With the Thunders third-leading scorer from last season Kevin Martin gone, Jeremy Lamb will have an opportunity for a greater role this season. The first-round draft pick didnt have the rookie season hed hoped for, playing in just 23 games last season. He seems to have had a productive offseason, however, according to superstar teammate Kevin Durant , You can really tell hes been working. Although Lamb will likely not be a starter, his ability to produce off the bench will be essential for the Thunder. Serge Ibaka Joe Murphy/Getty Images The 610 power forward was OKCs fourth-leading scorer behind Kevin Martin, who is now part of the Minnesota Timberwolves . In his four NBA seasons, Serge Ibaka hasnt been a prolific scorer, but he hasnt been offensively inept either ( 13.2 points per game last season ). Ibaka has been a solid player for Oklahoma City, but with Westbrook out and Martin gone, he has to become more of a scoring option this season.

Kevin Durant Says That He Didn’t Mean to Disrespect Dwyane Wade Last Week

The Spin Zone Crossovers aren’t Durant’s only means of eluding defenders. He’s got a sweet spin move, too. Here, he loses Kevin Love with a quick 360 before giving vaunted defender Darko Milicic the old up-and-under. The finish is pure George Gervin. Giant Killer JaVale McGee isn’t an easy guy to dunk on. Most times, attempts to posterize the shot-swatting Denver Nuggets center wind up with the aspiring dunker coming away with nothing. Not so for Durant.

He’s a champion, their team is a champion. I can’t say anything about their team. I can’t. They beat us in the Finals and they won back-to-back. I can’t say anything about their team. Basically what I was saying was that D-Wade passed the torch onto guys like James Harden, just to name one. I think that was just my opinion. I respect D-Wade, and I’m sure everybody’s saying that he’s going to use that as motivation, but he’s always been a motivated player, and it’s not going to change what I bring to the table. And I’m gonna stand by everything I say. No matter if I’m winning or losing, I’m going to say the same thing.” So there you have it.
